Centum has officially launched its 2015 Graduate Program today at the Intercontinental Hotel. The Company’s graduate program is an annual initiative within the Leadership Development Program that identifies fresh graduates, with a winning attitude and high leadership potential from a broad array of study disciplines and across East Africa.

The key focus of the program is to create a sustainable leadership pipeline for Centum. Besides building a talent base, Centum also seeks to leverage on its key strength of growing leaders from within. The program therefore gives structure and focus to Centum’s strategic priority of nurturing talent. The company launched its inaugural graduate program in August 2013 with 11 participants from Kenya and Uganda with the 2014 program onboarding 22 participants from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.

This year, the company received over 10,000 applications and selected 12 participants from multiple disciplines including engineering, actuarial science, law, commerce, economics and quantity surveying among others. During the one year program, the trainees will be exposed to a series of leadership development interventions and various corporate operations within Centum Group and its various subsidiaries to ensure they have a wholesome enriching experience.

Centum’s Leadership Development is in line with the company’s five-year strategy that calls for development of teams with expertise in specific sectors.
